Building Restorations And Who Does It

Posted on March 20, 2016 at 11:55 pm

Building restoration is the process of restoring the appearance of a historic building of importance to its original shape, form and quality.

The process is sponsored by governments of the nations who take keen interest in preserving their cultural heritage. Architectural and construction contractors get involved in the process because the process gets government funding as well as allows tax breaks. Funding for restoring buildings in UK often comes from several sources besides government agencies. The Architectural Heritage Fund is one such group that has shown commitment towards restoring buildings. Besides government agencies and such groups, fundraising campaigns within a local community which has an interest in restoring the building also contribute towards grants used for building restoration.
